Patagonia: Lago Argentino

LAKEARGENTINA2007PANO (1 of 1)

Lago Argentino (Lake Argentina), as seen in 2007, is biggest freshwater lake in Argentina, with a surface area of more than 500 miles.

The teal-colored waters are otherworldly.

This was the view after a 30 minute hike from Estancia Nibepo Aike, a working cattle and sheep ranch that was base camp during  a trek through Patagonian Argentina and Chile.
